Well I live inside of nowhere I live inside that
Well I live inside of nowhere I live inside that
‘Cause when I live inside of your head and I can’t deny that
Then it gives nothing to me and I give nothing back
When it gives nothing to me I give nothing back
But I can see the way your eyes they try to split me up and down my back
And I have got a good idea about the fire that you hide inside of that
I want to give something to you and get nothing back
It makes me want to give something to you to get nothing back
Well I see the night spreads upon your back
And I can see the way the nightmare spreads upon your back
And when it climbs all over me and I’m inside of that
I want to give I over to you to get the I back
I want to give I over to you just to get the I back
Love the night before the eyes see
Below the sun and just above your knees
Clever little words that you say to me
Planned, plotted, held preciously
Don’t have a voice so they fall aimlessly
And we drop whatever covers the skin on our bodies
The understood underneath the holy
Holy Holy
Shake Holy
Shake Holy

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975
